There is no universal limit on page length. Pedagogical articles are most useful when they are written as short, easily digestible nuggets. Some topics lend themselves to long discussions with hundreds of references and almost as many points of view. It is suggested the novice reader is given a clear navigational path around such topics by the use of navigational templates so that he or she may skip the material on a first reading.
